She graduated from the Chinese Department of Xuzhou Teachers College in 1994, obtaining a bachelor's degree, and in 2007, graduated from Wang Yong's Calligraphy Studio at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, receiving a master's degree. She is currently the Director of the Institute of Calligraphy Art at Shenzhen Technology University. She is also a council member of the Shenzhen Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairperson of the Shenzhen Women Calligraphers Association, and Vice Chairperson of the Futian District Calligraphers Association in Shenzhen.
She has published papers such as *The Profound Influence of the Rise of Stele Studies on the Aesthetic and Technical Development of Running Script*, etc. She has also published personal collections such as *Gong Yu Shu Lu - Xu Lei's Calligraphy Works*, etc., and has written the teaching material *Primary Course in Calligraphy Culture*. She has presided over research projects such as *Research on Public Education of Calligraphy in Colleges and Universities* and *Investigation and Research on the Current Situation of Calligraphy in Hong Kong and Macau*. Her works have been exhibited in the Third National Calligraphy Exhibition of "Wang Xizhi Award" and the National Women's Calligraphy Exhibition of "Mrs. Wei Cup", etc. She has held solo calligraphy exhibitions at the Guyuan Art Museum in Zhuhai and other places. In 2017, she was nominated as one of the "Top Ten Women Calligraphers in Guangdong Province" by the Guangdong Calligraphy Critics Association. In 2019, she was rated as a national first-class artist.
