Professor Du Haibin graduated from the Industrial Design major of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1985. He is a member of the Industrial Design Art Committee of the China Artists Association and a member of the Teaching Steering Committee for Design Majors in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education. He is engaged in industrial design teaching, scientific research, and the construction of the experimental center, undertaking one provincial-level excellent course and multiple scientific research projects. He once served as the Dean of the School of Industrial Design at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts.
Professor Du Haibin has published many papers and textbooks. Among them, "Industrial Design Tutorial" was rated as a national-level planning textbook for undergraduate education in ordinary higher education during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period by the Ministry of Education. He established the "National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Industrial Design" at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. He has won the silver and bronze awards in the National Art Exhibition (Design Category), the "Red Dot Best of the Best" award in Germany, the "A-DESIGN Award" in Italy, the "Roland Creative Gold Award" in Japan, the Gold Award of the Janus Design Award in France, and the "IDA Design Gold Award" in the United States, etc. He enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council and is a professor of the second level.
